Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Build and Grow a Market-Facing Practice
- Establish and execute a strategy to grow architecture in Colorado in collaboration with Architectural, Regional, and Segment leadership
- Build a strong, opportunity-driven pipeline across public-sector markets
- Position architecture as a critical component of integrated, multidisciplinary solutions
Lead Business Development with Delivery in Mind
- Develop and expand relationships with public agencies
- Lead capture strategies for pursuits across Design-Bid-Build (DBB) and Design-Build (DB) delivery
- Partner with contractors, engineers, and joint venture teams in Design-Build pursuits
- Shape proposals that are not only compelling—but executable
Deliver Across Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build
- Serve as Principal-in-Charge, Project Executive, or Senior Project Manager on key projects in both Denver and beyond, in support of Dewberry’s Architectural practice
- Guide teams through the nuances of various project delivery models—risk allocation, schedule compression, stakeholder coordination, and decision-making
- Ensure alignment between design intent, technical execution, and client expectation
This role is intentionally balanced—you will:
- Carry client relationships from pursuit through execution
- Stay engaged in a project leadership position post-award to maintain continuity and trust
- Use delivery experience to inform smarter pursuit strategies
- Build a reputation for both winning work and delivering it successfully—especially in complex, alternative delivery environments
Leverage a National Platform
- Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams across the country to support project opportunities
- Bring national best practices and deep subject matter expertise to the Denver market
- Contribute local insight to firmwide strategies and major pursuits

- Collaborate with the larger architecture practice and leverage deep engineering expertise to delivery quality work
What You Bring
- Licensed architect with 20+ years of experience, including leadership in the Denver market
- Demonstrated success in both business development and project delivery, with a focus on exceptional project management capabilities
- Deep experience with Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery models
- Experience partnering with contractors and multidisciplinary teams on complex pursuits
- Proven ability to operate as a seller-doer and executive-level project leader

The projected range for this position is $125,000-$175,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
