About this Role
PAR Electrical LLC, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lead Billing Administrator to support our growing operations in Colorado. This role is responsible for leading billing processes across complex projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contract requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong construction or utility billing experience and thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
As a key member of the Finance team, this individual will partner closely with project managers, operations, and accounting to ensure billing activities align with project progress and financial goals.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000, based on experience
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the end-to-end billing process for multiple projects, including progress billing, T&M billing, and contract-based invoicing
- Review contracts to ensure billing aligns with terms, rates, and client requirements
- Partner with project managers to track costs, validate billable items, and support accurate revenue recognition
- Prepare, review, and submit invoices with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
- Resolve billing discrepancies and proactively address client inquiries
- Monitor unbilled and aged receivables, supporting collections efforts as needed
- Maintain organized and audit-ready billing documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, systems, and controls
- Train and mentor junior billing or administrative staff as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of billing experience, preferably in construction, utilities, or project-based environments
- Strong understanding of contract billing, including progress billing and time-and-materials
- Experience working with project managers and cross-functional teams
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Viewpoint, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to guide and support others preferred
