Job Title: IT Desktop Support Technician
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (100% Onsite)
Hourly Rate: 30 USD/hr + Benefits
Employment Type: W2 Direct Contract
About the RoleWe are seeking a calm, customer-focused IT Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City. This is a hands-on, 100% onsite role supporting desktop hardware, manufacturing floor equipment, and asset lifecycle management. We need someone who can defuse tense situations, communicate clearly, and solve problems methodically—not just escalate.
⚠️ Please note: This is a true Desktop Support role. Candidates with only Service Desk or remote help desk experience will not be considered.
What You’ll DoAsset Lifecycle Management (End-to-End)
- Laptop procurement, imaging, installation, user assignment, decommissioning, and lease return coordination
- Track and manage hardware inventory
Hardware & Peripherals Support
- Multifunction printers (print/scan/copy)
- Thermal printers and C wrapper printers (tags/labels)
Imaging & Deployment
- Create and maintain system images
- Use imaging tools (e.g., MDT, Clonezilla, or similar)
- Transitioning environment → experience with Microsoft Intune is a strong plus
Manufacturing Floor Support
- Support manufacturing equipment and understand how IT interacts with production processes
Ticketing & Tools
- ServiceNow (primary)
- Freshdesk
- Basic understanding of APIs (troubleshooting integrations)
Microsoft Environment
- Heavily Microsoft-focused (Windows, O365, Entra ID, Intune)
What You Bring- 2+ years of hands-on desktop support experience (not service desk)
- Calm demeanor under pressure
- Strong soft skills and ability to handle frustrated users professionally
- Experience with imaging tools and hardware deployment
- Willingness to work fully onsite in Salt Lake City
- Authorized to work on W2 (direct contract with SPS)
Nice to Have- Intune migration experience
- Exposure to API-level troubleshooting
- Experience supporting manufacturing or warehouse environments
