Metal Fabricator and Installer (Residential Construction)
As a metal fabricator with our company, you will become part of a team of employees who are highly valued and skilled. As a member of our team, you will plan, lay out, repair and install sheet metal products and parts. You will get to put your technical and mathematical skills to use operating tools and machines and taking measurements according to blueprints. DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Cut, Bend and Solder Stainless Steel and Copper
Install ACM Panels
· Analyzing Information
· Basic Safety, Equipment Maintenance
· Power Tools
· Documentation Skills
· General Math Skills
· Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Detail Oriented
· Completes sheet metal projects by reviewing work orders, blue prints, gathering required materials and using appropriate methods, sketches a layout.
· Collects materials by studying specifications and component requirements
· Fabricates components by using equipment to cut, form, and fasten pieces.
· Verifies results by inspecting, measuring and testing components.
· Documents actions by completing records.
· Maintains safe work environment by following procedures; complying with safety and quality.
· Maneuver completed roofing units into position for installation
· Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, or drills.
· Transport prefabricated parts to construction sites for assembly and installation.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5 years’ experience operating a variety of machinery in a sheet metal shop, such as; brake press, solder iron, cutters, benders, drills, shear, press punch, mills, etc.
· Ability to take direction from foreman and management and apply proper installation techniques to work.
· Operate motorized drills and saws, forklifts, along with sheet metal hand tools
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to read, write, and speak English
· Excellent work ethic and presenting positive image of our company
· Ability to accurately measure
· Possess all necessary hand tools
· Have a means of transportation to and from work sites
· Be able perform duties above more than 2 stories
