About the role
We are hiring a Director of Sales Finance (Partners & GTM) to serve as the finance partner to Partner Sales and Specialist Sales at Veeam. This is a highly analytical role focused on building models that quantify partner performance, incentives, attribution, and ROI to guide investment decisions and maximize incremental sales.
You will build visibility into our channel, alliances, and GSI ecosystem, supporting over 30,000 partners. You will also support compensation and incentive planning (including overlays) and partner with Sales, RevOps, and Product to optimize our route to market across partner and direct sales motions.
What you’ll do
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary finance partner to Partner Sales and Specialist Sales leadership.
- Partner with Sales Compensation and HR on plan design and in-year changes for partner and specialist roles (including overlays).
- Size and evaluate partner incentives (rebates, MDF, SPIFFs) to align spend with incremental impact and margin.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and RevOps to improve coverage and engagement across partner and specialist motions.
Analytics, Reporting & Measurement
- Build decision frameworks and models (ROI/payback, scenarios, post-results) to guide partner program and specialist headcount investments.
- Establish partner attribution and incrementality measurement so reporting reflects true partner impact versus direct motions.
- Build scalable reporting with consistent KPI definitions, partnering with RevOps across Salesforce, Databricks (DWH), and Tableau/Power BI.
- Diagnose performance gaps and identify the highest-leverage changes to improve productivity, mix, and incremental outcomes.
What you’ll Bring
- 10+ years in FP&A, GTM finance, or strategic finance, supporting sales and/or partner teams in an enterprise SaaS or subscription business.
- Expert in structured problem solving and financial modeling (ROI/payback, scenarios, sensitivities) to turn ambiguity into clear decisions.
- Experience sizing and measuring incentive economics (rebates, MDF, SPIFFs, commissions) and their impact on behavior and results.
- Ability to compare GTM motions and optimize investment decisions to drive incremental sales and margin.
- Strong data skills: Excel; Salesforce reporting/exports; Tableau/Power BI dashboards; Databricks (DWH); SQL a plus for pulling and validating data when needed.
- Clear, executive-ready communication and ability to influence across Sales, RevOps, Product, and Finance.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
