CNC Lathe or Mill Machinist
QCMI currently has an immediate need for qualified CNC Lathe and Mill Machinists. We are looking for individuals with a strong technical background who are motivated to grow personally and professionally while expanding their machining skills and knowledge at QCMI.
Requirements
• Previous experience as a CNC Machinist in a machine shop environment
• Ability to set up and run machines independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working with Fanuc, Okuma, Haas, or similar controls
• Knowledge of various materials including castings, forgings, and exotic alloys
• Understanding of proper speeds and feeds for different materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Comfortable making program edits at the machine when needed
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection methods
• Understanding of ISO9001 / AS9100 quality systems is a plus
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus
Additional Requirements
• Minimum 3 years CNC machining experience
• Must provide your own machinist tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineering, quality, and production teams
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Team-oriented with willingness to work overtime when needed
