The Scrum Master will support the Product delivery team on their understanding of Agile best practices to effectively manage the companies Building Energy Usage Portal - a digital product that provides whole-building aggregated usage data for compliance with Local Laws 97 and 84.
Responsibilities
- Coaching the team on agile practices using the Scrum methodology.
- Facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
- Removing impediments and managing scope.
- Shielding the team from external distractions.
- Bringing together the Product Owner, Business Analysts, IT Business Delivery, External Developer teams, and Data teams.
- Coordinating and translating between teams on build, testing, release, defect, and request management activities.
- Interacting with the Agile team by running and enabling scrum ceremonies and tracking development progress.
- Managing story point allocations and maintaining the team's Azure Dev Ops board.
- Tracking capacity and balancing resources between teams.
- Reporting on Sprint burndown, velocity, adherence to story point estimates, release health, and defect trends.
- Creating new reports and dashboards as needed.
- Tracking user stories to completion and following up with developers daily.
- Alerting the product team of issues hindering development and facilitating meetings to clear roadblocks.
- Working with the Product Owner and Business Analysts to ensure user stories are detailed and approved for the current sprint.
