UP TO 35+/- HRS PER WEEK.
ABOUT OC INDEPENDENT LIVING:
OC Independent Living (OCIL) provides independent living skills training and support to
adults with developmental disabilities throughout all of OC.
Our focus is on stable, long-term, productive relationships.
THIS POSITION DOES NOT involve any kind of personal assistance such as feeding, dressing, toileting, or supporting a person's weight.
LIVING SKILLS INSTRUCTOR:
Works 1:1 with clients living independently or planning to move out of the family home.
Clients usually require services 1x per week, which can include cooking, budgeting, mild exercise, going to doctors' appointments, shopping, and interfacing with social service agencies.
IL Instructors typically start with 2-3 clients and eventually have 5-10 long-term clients.
We need responsible, fun, motivators who communicate well and are comfortable interacting with families and other agencies.
This position is well-suited to those with experience working with people with disabilities, however experience is not required.
IL Instructors work from home, so you travel to the client's place from your home.
You do not have to live close to or report to our office (in San Clemente).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Acts as a role model and support resource.
• Keeps daily documentation and other records up-to-date.
• Maintains friendly, trusting and respectful relationships.
• Participate in meetings with social workers.
• May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to take mild exercise walks of up to 1 mile.
• Must be able to travel to clients living throughout all of OC.
• Must be able to use personal computer to prepare reports, email, etc.
HOURS:
Hourly, Permanent, Flexible Part-Time.
Usually weekdays, however weekends can be available for staff who are interested.
PAY:
$25-28 per hour.

2) Current DMV Driver Record report (DMV website)
3) Current 'Declaration Page' showing coverage amounts of your auto insurance.
(minimum $100,000 per accident personal (not commercial) coverage.)
JOB OFFERS ARE CONTINGENT UPON:
1) Passing Live Scan background check.
2) Approval of Driver record.
WHEN HIRED:
1) Online CPR (or current cert) and CA Harassment training (or current cert) within 30 days.
2) Consent to drug testing (consent only).
