Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy
CRT credentialed Respiratory Therapist must have at least 10 years of experience to be eligible for Respiratory Therapist 2
Two (2) years of Critical Care/Acute Care experience as a Respiratory Therapist OR one (1) year of demonstrated ability as a Respiratory Therapist I within UHS

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

New York State Respiratory Therapy License
BLS/CPR Certification upon hire and ACLS within 3 months of hire

Work Environment

Work is performed on all patient care units mostly at bedside. Ability to push equipment. Limited access to O2 outlets. Limited access to patients.
