Technology Leadership & Execution
- Build, lead, and mentor the internal IT team supporting all four dealerships
- Own the end-to-end technology function for a four-rooftop dealer group
- Develop and execute a realistic technology roadmap that supports growth and efficiency
- Act as the main point of contact for all technology decisions, issues, and vendor relationships
Dealership Systems & Support
- Oversee core dealership platforms including DMS, CRM, inventory, desking, F&I, service, and accounting systems
- Ensure system uptime, integrations, and consistent processes across all locations
- Lead troubleshooting and escalation for critical system issues impacting operations
- Personally handle or oversee resolution of high-impact system issues
Infrastructure & End-User Technology
- Oversee networks, servers, cloud systems, devices, and dealership infrastructure
- Manage endpoint lifecycle (PCs, mobile devices, printers, scanners, etc.)
- Ensure reliable connectivity and performance at each rooftop
Vendor & Cost Management
- Manage technology vendors, contracts, and renewals with a focus on value and performance
- Evaluate new tools and eliminate redundant or low-value systems
- Build and manage the IT budget with strong cost discipline
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices across all dealerships
- Ensure secure handling of customer, financial, and employee data
- Manage user access, device security, backups, and incident response
Planning, Budgeting & Growth
- Develop and manage the IT budget for a five-store operation
- Plan technology needs for new initiatives, system upgrades, and potential expansion
- Create documentation, disaster recovery plans, and long-term support strategies
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline dealership workflows through technology and automation
- Standardize systems and processes across rooftops where practical
- Support reporting, analytics, and data visibility for leadership and store managers

Required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- 7+ years of experience in IT or technology leadership, ideally in multi-location environments
- Strong understanding of automotive dealership operations and systems
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, and technology projects end-to-end
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on problem solving
- Practical, business-focused technology leader
- Comfortable being the “go-to” person for technology across the group
- Strong communicator who can work effectively with GMs, department leaders, and vendors
- Organized, decisive, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced dealership environment
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting automotive dealerships or dealer groups
- Familiarity with major DMS platforms (e.g., Tekion, CDK, Reynolds) and dealership CRMs
- Experience working with lean teams and outsourced IT partners
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
