Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree
- At least five years of proven experience as a fundraiser in a leadership position
- Exposure to capital campaign strategies and planned giving
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to public speak and to motivate staff, volunteers and donors
- Knowledge of fundraising software and database management
- Growing the Resource Development department while adhering to industry accepted standards and best practices
Responsibilities:
- Develop campaign strategy; establish goals and budget
- Create department RD Dashboard tracking all activities
- Develop plan to recruit new donors
- Do a department audit of donor attrition and enact an outreach campaign to re-engage disconnected donors
- Interact with and engage the Board of Directors to establish their co-ownership of the campaign
- Identify Major Gift Prospects
- Identify prospective special event Honorees
- Work with CEO and Grant Writer to identify agency needs matched with the appropriate private foundations
- Seek to develop new revenue stream(s)
- Work to ensure renewable donor support from year to year by staying connected to donors via personal calls, emails, presentations, etc.
- Work with the Marketing Consultant to ensure that all marketing efforts are on time and on target
- Work with the Public Relations consultant to ensure that the agency messaging is on brand, on time and impactful
- Work with the Director off Special Events and Social Media to ensure that all posts are timely and compelling. Utilize all SM Platforms - FB, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Snapchat, etc.
- Ensure that all marketing efforts and SM communications have a measurable goal/impact
- Do quarterly department assessment to measure status of campaign and to pivot as needed
- Work the CEO and Board of Directors as needed
- Be mindful of agency values and mission in everything you say and do
- Perform tasks as needed or required by the CEO
