Job Expectations
• 6-10 years of SW Development experience in Java and other sister languages. (strong development experience)
• Design overall application architecture with a good understanding of infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.
• Experience in architecting and managing complex applications from scratch.
• Experience working with server class products and troubleshooting various HW issues.
• Experience designing, setting up and maintaining automation frameworks, tools and scripts for CI/CD environments.
• Experience with enterprise and cloud scale products on various software, hardware and networking infrastructures.
• Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, GIT).
• Highly experienced with scripting language like shell scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL and Non-SQL database.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools like Git
• Knowledge of Web Server technologies- like Apache or Nginx.
• knowledge of linux administrator task and Unix command
• Communication - both written and verbal, are very important skills in this role.
• The ability to work well with internal and cross-functional teams is a must.
• RHEL 7 admin level skillset, including performance tuning, package management tools, RHEL 7 services
• NoSQL (Opensource DB's) databases: Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL at a deployment & management skillset level
• Common build tools such as maven, gradle and make
• Release and deployment process working with test and QA tooling includes things like (Jenkins, nexus, AWS ELB, chef)
Additional Skills:
• Public(AWS/Azure/GCP) Cloud Services/IaaS engineering experience is a plus
Good to have, not required:
• Go and Scala languages
• Python
• Integration / automation with tools such as Jenkins
