JOB SUMMARY The Equipment Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Equipment Division in a specific zone, including product expertise, team management, sales support, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment management, a deep understanding of our product lines, and the ability to drive business growth. This role requires frequent travel for hands-on training and installations.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead cross-functional integration activities following acquisitions, providing strategic leadership to align teams, streamlining operations, and incorporating acquired products and services into the Company's portfolio.
- Supervise and mentor Equipment Technicians, offering ongoing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment within the team.
- Partner with the Sales Team by participating in sales calls to provide technical insights and product expertise.
- Assist the Sales Team in addressing customer inquiries and closing deals.
- Act as the go-to expert on all Company equipment product lines
- Provide in-depth knowledge and support to the Sales Team and customers regarding existing and potential new product lines.
- Evaluate and recommend potential new product lines to expand the Company's offerings.
- Field questions and provide expert advice on new products for both the Sales Team and customers.
- Set and manage margins for different product lines to ensure profitability.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and evaluate redundant vendors for critical product lines to ensure supply chain continuity.
- Focus on growing the Equipment Business as a core division of the company.
- Develop strategies to create synergy between the equipment and chemical businesses, leveraging cross-selling opportunities and enhancing overall customer value.
- Provide ongoing education and training to the Equipment Team and Sales Team to keep them updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and best practices.
- Coordinate and conduct hands-on training opportunities and installations, requiring 10-20% overnight travel.
- Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years of experience in equipment management, sales, or operations
- Proven expertise in equipment product lines and a strong understanding of the industry
- Excellent leadership and mentorship skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in setting product margins and managing vendor relationships
- Ability to travel 10%-20% of the time (overnight) for training and installation purposes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Six (6) plus years of experience in equipment management, sales or operations
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
