Principal Embedded Software Engineer (Scrum Master) to join our team of talented engineers and problem-solvers working on cutting-edge aerospace and defense programs. In this role, you'll combine your technical expertise in embedded C++ development with your leadership skills as a
Scrum Master, helping to shape innovative solutions for mission-critical systems.
This is a full-time,
on-site position located in one of the following locations:
Linthicum/Annapolis Junction, MD Northridge, CA Tucson, AZ What You'll Do: - Serve as the Scrum Master for a cross-functional team, organizing and facilitating Agile events like stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Remove roadblocks and resolve team impediments, enabling the team to focus and deliver high-quality results.
- Advocate for Agile best practices, such as code reviews, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Collaborate directly with the Software Development Team to contribute hands-on expertise in embedded C++ development for real-time systems in aerospace and defense.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and proactive issue prevention across technical disciplines and teams.
• Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of experience; OR a PhD in a STEM field.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a technical, engineering-focused environment.
- Deep familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
- Proficiency using Jira for tracking tickets, managing backlogs, and facilitating Agile workflows.
- Ability to facilitate key Scrum ceremonies and foster Agile culture.
- Experience in embedded real-time software development, focusing on embedded C++ and VxWorks.
Preferred Qualifications: - Active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to obtain SAP clearance (Special Access Program).
- Familiarity with the Atlassian Tools Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Previous experience with Flight Software development in aerospace and defense programs.
