We 3D-print metal parts for aerospace, rocketry, defense, and motorsport customers, and our machinists take those parts to final spec. If you like precision work with complex geometries and tough materials, and you want a seat on a machining team that’s growing, we’d like to meet you.
MIMO Advanced Manufacturing is hiring CNC machinists at three levels. All roles are full-time, day shift, on site in Carson, CA 90745. We place you at the level that fits your experience.
WHY MIMO
Day shift, on site in Carson
Prototype and low-volume work: varied parts, difficult alloys, tight tolerances
You work alongside engineers, quality, and production, not in a silo
Three levels, with a clear path from running machines to programming to leading
LEVEL 1: CNC MACHINIST ($26-$32/hr)
You run it. Set up and operate CNC and lathes from programs written by others, make offset and tool adjustments at the control, and keep our printers supplied by machining and resurfacing build plates. You also help finish 3D-printed parts and inspect your own work.
1+ years of CNC machining experience, prefer hands-on 5-axis operation
Can read blueprints, use calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges, and make small G-code edits at the control
LEVEL 2: CNC MACHINIST / PROGRAMMER ($32-$42/hr)
You write it and run it. Everything in Level 1, plus programming parts from models and drawings, choosing tooling and workholding, and improving existing programs.
3+ years of CNC machining, including 2+ years of CAM programming (Mastercam, GibbsCAM, NX, or similar)
Working knowledge of GD&T
LEVEL 3: LEAD CNC MACHINIST / PROGRAMMER ($42-$52/hr)
You set the standard. Design and program precision prototype and low-volume parts on 5-axis mills and lathes, develop the process for new parts (tooling, fixtures, workholding), and standardize programs and post-processors so the team runs proven code. You run quality checks and first-article inspection on machined features, lead root-cause work when something drifts, document setups so others can repeat your work, and coach junior machinists. Reports to the Director of Operations.
6+ years of CNC machining in aerospace, defense, or another high-tolerance industry
Hands-on 5-axis programming with CAM simulation and verification, and strong GD&T
Experience developing a process for a new part with no existing program
Experience mentoring or leading other machinists, formally or informally
NICE TO HAVE (ALL LEVELS)
Aerospace or additive manufacturing experience
Titanium, Inconel, and other difficult-to-machine alloys
CMM inspection, EDM, tool presetting and fixturing, AS9100 familiarity
ALL POSITIONS
Must be able to commute to Carson, CA 90745, or relocate before starting
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear required PPE
