Russell Homes Inc. is looking for dependable, compassionate, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team! If you have a caring heart, a positive attitude, and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults in residential care, we want to hear from you!
Our team plays an important role in helping residents maintain their independence, develop daily living skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences in their homes and communities.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living skills and personal development.
- Support residents in following their Individual Program Plans (IPPs).
- Prepare meals and assist with household duties and housekeeping.
- Participate in community outings, recreational activities, and social events.
- Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Promote residents’ dignity, independence, safety, and well-being.
- Provide compassionate support in a respectful, positive environment.
- Travel between residential homes as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must successfully pass a Live Scan background check through the FBI and California Department of Justice (DOJ).
- Must have a valid driver’s license or acceptable identification, as applicable to the position.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between residential homes as needed.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Must be dependable, patient, responsible, and compassionate.
- Previous experience in caregiving, direct support, or residential care is a plus, but experience is not required!
Compensation
Pay is based on experience. Training and an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the care and support field are available as applicable.
