About the position:
The seasonal shipping assistant plays an important role in ensuring that our busy holiday season is well supported and runs smoothly. This person is a self-defined doer. They need to be able to learn quickly and jump in to assist the fulfillment team. They move with a sense of urgency while maintaining high quality standards. They have the ability to communicate clearly and promptly with the team. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, and is able to follow instructions. This person is a collaborative team player who enjoys working with a passionate group of hard working people. They are warm, friendly, and helpful.
As our Seasonal Shipping Assistant, you do not need to know our exact systems before you start. People who are not self-starters, not flexible, not open to feedback, nor great communicators need not apply. You are meant for this role if you are excited about a physical, hands-on job, and you are detail-oriented and organized problem-solver.
This is a seasonal position that offers anywhere from 24-40 hours a week. The preferred start date is the week of November 9, 2026 through December 18, 2026.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:
Shipping:
* Pack and label orders ensuring they are packed accurately and beautifully
* Ensure orders go out on time
* Maintain productive relationships with carriers, ensuring all documentation is handled accurately and with proper timing (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.)
* Maintain a clean, organized shipping and receiving space, and dispose of packaging debris
* Assist with other duties as needed
Qualifications
* 6 months to 1 year experience in fulfillment and/or inventory operations
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced, interruption-prone environment
* Must pay strong attention to detail and have excellent organizational skills
* Resourceful problem-solver and strong ability to resolve or smooth issues in the moment
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Be a team player, and also able to work solo
* Excellent interpersonal one-on-one, team, and partnership skills
* Seeks out feedback and is excited about self-growth and improvement within the context of the job
* Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business
* Computer literacy
Preferred Experience
* Experience working in a small business
* Experience with Point of Sale software and systems
* Proficient with Mac OS
Physical Demands
This position includes involves physical labor, including but not limited to:
* Standing (approx 5-6 hours per day)
* Walking, moving quickly
* Kneeling
* Climbing stairs
* Lifting up to 40 lbs.
* Climbing stairs while carrying up to 40 lbs.
* Seeing, hearing and speaking, both nearby and at a distance
* Typing, writing, reading
Classification & Hours
* Hourly Seasonal, 24-40 hours per week
* Weekdays, 9AM to 5:30PM
* Nov 9 to Dec 18
* $23 per hour
