**CNC Machinist / Machinist Assistant – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts (Escondido)**
A leading medical manufacturing company in Escondido is hiring CNC Machinists/Machinist Assistants for multiple shifts. This position supports machining operations to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications and domestic and international regulatory requirements.
**Available Shifts & Pay:**
- **1st Shift:** 6 am to 2:30 pm $20–$21/hr DOE
- **2nd Shift:** 2:20 pm-10:50 pm (Must be able to train on 1st shift) $24–$28/hr DOE
- **3rd Shift:** 9:40 pm–6:10 am (Must be able to train on 1st shift) $23–$24/hr DOE
**Location:** Escondido, CA
**Responsibilities:**
- Grind and prepare production tooling.
- Edit CNC screw machine programs for various products.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC screw machines.
- Perform initial part inspections and verify parts meet specifications.
- Clean and maintain CNC machines.
- Complete additional duties as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 1 year of CNC screw machine experience and general machining ability.
- Proficiency with CNC screw machines, measuring devices, and blueprint reading.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cGMP and/or ISO experience preferred.
- Ability to work with small parts and perform repetitive tasks daily.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with limited or no supervision.
**Physical Requirements & Work Environment:**
- Ability to sit and use hands and fingers for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach frequently, with occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 25 lbs.
- Close vision required for microscope work and reading documents.
- Primarily indoor, climate-controlled work environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
