Game Time Pizza – Experienced Front of House Assistant Manager (Toast Experience Required)

Game Time Pizza is looking for an experienced Front of House Assistant Manager to join our team. We’re a busy, sports-themed neighborhood pizza restaurant focused on great food, solid service, and a fun atmosphere. If you know Toast and have real restaurant experience running the floor, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Oversee front-of-house operations during shifts, including opening/closing duties as needed
- Lead and support servers, hosts, and support staff — scheduling support, training, and coaching
- Ensure excellent guest service, table management, and a clean, welcoming dining room and patio
- Handle guest issues, complaints, and special requests professionally
- Use Toast POS confidently for orders, payments, voids, comps, tips, reporting, and end-of-shift procedures
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and basic cash handling / tip pooling processes
- Maintain food and beverage presentation standards and help with menu knowledge and upselling
- Support the general manager with daily operations, staff performance, and meeting sales/service goals
Requirements
- **Prior restaurant assistant manager or shift lead experience** (front of house preferred)
- **Strong Toast POS experience** required — you should be comfortable training others and troubleshooting common issues
- Proven ability to manage a team, handle busy shifts, and maintain standards
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, hands-on, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Food handler card and knowledge of California alcohol service rules a plus (ABC awareness helpful)
