Bin Butlers is hiring someone to clean residential trash, recycling, and organic bins throughout Orange County.
This is a hands-on outdoor job using professional pressure-washing and wastewater-recovery equipment.
All equipment, cleaning products, and training are provided.
Pay: $15 per bin, paid daily.
Experience with pressure washers, mobile detailing, exterior cleaning, bin washing, or similar work is highly preferred.
You’ll be using:
- Commercial gas-powered pressure washer
- 100' water hose connected to the customer’s outdoor water spigot
- 5' × 5' wastewater containment berm
- Wet/dry vacuum for wastewater recovery
- 35-gallon wastewater holding tank
- Professional cleaning and deodorizing products
Company Vehicle Option:
A company vehicle setup is available, including a Chevy Bolt with a tow hitch and hitch-mounted cargo carrier for transporting the equipment.
If you use the company vehicle:
- Your cleaning route must be completed and the vehicle returned by 2:00 PM
- Depending on battery level, you may be required to charge the vehicle before returning it
- A company card will be provided for any required charging
- The vehicle and equipment must be returned clean, organized, and ready for the next route
If you own a truck and prefer to use your own vehicle, that is a plus but not required.
The cleaning process is straightforward but must be followed carefully:
1. Set up the containment berm and equipment.
2. Remove loose debris and pre-rinse the bin.
3. Apply cleaning solution.
4. Thoroughly pressure wash the inside, outside, lid, handles, and wheels.
5. Apply deodorizer/sanitizer according to product instructions.
6. Vacuum all dirty wastewater from the containment berm.
7. Transfer wastewater into the recovery tank for proper disposal.
8. Inspect the bin, return it to the customer, and reset equipment for the next stop.
Wastewater containment is extremely important. Dirty wash water cannot simply be allowed to run down the driveway or into the street. You must be careful, clean, organized, and respectful of customers’ properties.
Why this is a good opportunity:
Bin Butlers is already an established residential trash bin valet service with an existing customer base throughout Orange County. Bin cleaning is a new add-on service we’re launching for both current and new customers.
We are not starting from zero. We already have customers who have expressed interest and are waiting for the service to launch, and we’ll continue advertising to grow the cleaning route.
Because trash collection schedules vary by city and neighborhood, cleaning appointments can be scheduled throughout the week. As the customer base grows, this has the potential to become consistent Monday–Friday work.
Compensation is $15 per bin, paid daily. Larger properties can add up quickly—for example, a customer with 9 bins would earn you $135 from that single stop.
Ideal candidate:
- Comfortable operating a gas pressure washer
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Physically capable of moving bins and equipment
- Detail-oriented
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Has a valid driver’s license
- Truck ownership is a plus, but not required
