PART-TIME SEAMSTRESS / CUSTOM PIECE SPECIALIST
Pirate Staffing is hiring!
We are looking for a Part-Time Seamstress to join a creative, women-owned company located in San Marcos, CA, just down the street from the Spaghetti Factory.
This is a hands-on position where you'll work directly alongside the team & company owners creating custom pieces &specialty hair/wig products (100% Real Hair).

What You'll Be Doing
Sewing & Custom Pieces
Sew pieces of fabric together from patterns to create clothing, dresses, and custom pieces.
Follow patterns, examples, and client style specifications.
Maintain consistent quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Wig & Hairpiece Work
Sew hair tracks, clips, combs, and elastic bands onto wigs and extension pieces using fine hand-sewing techniques or specialized sewing machines.
Cut, layer, color, curl, and style hairpieces according to client requests or specific character designs.
Repair damaged wig caps and replace worn lace.
Re-ventilate bald spots and tighten loose tracks.
Inspect finished pieces for durability, comfort, symmetry, and overall appearance.
Responsibilities
Complete assigned pieces during your scheduled shifts.
Follow training guidelines and client style examples.
Work efficiently while maintaining a strong pace and consistent quality.
Keep your workspace clean and organized.
Report damaged or defective materials to your supervisor.
Follow all safety and hygiene guidelines.
What We're Looking For
Previous sewing or seamstress experience is preferred (1-2 years)
Comfortable working with fabric, patterns, and detailed sewing projects.
Experience with wigs, hairpieces, extensions, or costume work is a plus, but training may be provided for the right candidate.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
Comfortable working in a team environment while also completing individual assignments.
Someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and enjoys creative, hands-on work.
Dress Code
The dress code is casual, but clothing should be clean, neat, and comfortable for a professional work environment.
Closed-toe shoes are required for safety.
Breaks
Breaks and meal periods are provided in accordance with California law and Pirate Staffing's applicable policies and should be taken as scheduled.
