ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a motivated, friendly, hardworking, and bilingual (English/Spanish) Retail Sales Associate to join our team at our 10,000-square-foot appliance showroom in Lemon Grove, CA.

Our primary business is selling appliances, but this is a hybrid sales and showroom position. You will regularly switch between helping customers and performing hands-on store duties.
One minute, you may be moving refrigerators around the showroom; the next, you may be selling those same refrigerators to a customer.
Some days will require you to break a sweat and get your hands dirty. In return, you'll have opportunities to earn additional income beyond your hourly pay through commissions, spiffs, and bonuses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Selling appliances and related products and services
Greeting customers warmly and helping them select products that fit their needs and budget
Communicating with customers in both English and Spanish
Engaging customers, building value, and closing sales
Explaining appliance features, benefits, warranties, delivery, and installation options
Conducting product demonstrations when appropriate
Upselling relevant products and services to improve the customer experience and increase sales
Preparing sales invoices and processing transactions through our ERP/POS system
Handling cash and other forms of payment accurately
Assisting with returns, exchanges, and after-sales customer service
Answering phone inquiries professionally and assisting customers remotely
Listing and advertising products online
Printing barcodes and product labels
Assisting with inventory audits, stock replenishment, and inventory organization
Helping unload incoming appliance shipments
Inspecting appliances and assisting with basic appliance testing
Moving refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, and other appliances using a dolly
Assisting customers with loading appliances into their vehicles
Maintaining showroom displays, signage, and visual merchandising
Cleaning appliances and keeping the showroom organized
Sweeping and mopping floors and helping maintain general store cleanliness, including the restroom
Assisting with deliveries when needed
Performing business-to-business outreach to develop potential new customers
Assisting with financial reconciliation and other daily store operations
Supporting and helping supervise team members when needed
Contributing to a positive, professional, and collaborative store environment
Training on our ERP/POS system and store procedures will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual in English and Spanish is REQUIRED
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers in both English and Spanish
Full-time availability required (32–40 hours per week)
Previous in-person sales experience preferred, including retail sales, product demonstrations, door-to-door sales, or similar experience
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable starting and maintaining conversations with customers
Friendly, professional, and dependable attitude
Sales-minded and motivated by commissions and performance incentives
Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
Must be physically capable of using a dolly to move appliances around the showroom
Must be able to assist customers with loading appliances into vehicles
Comfortable performing both sales duties and physical showroom work
Basic ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches
Ability to multitask and switch between different responsibilities throughout the day
Willingness to learn new products, systems, and procedures
Reliable attendance and punctuality
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
These are helpful, but not required:
Experience driving a 15' box truck
Appliance repair experience
Appliance installation experience
Telemarketing or phone sales experience
Previous supervisory or management experience
COMPENSATION
Starting pay: $20 per hour
1% commission on the item sale price of every item you personally sell
Commission begins after successful completion of the 30-day probationary period
Additional spiffs and bonuses

AVAILABILITY
Applicants must be available to work 32–40 hours per week during store operating hours.
This position requires dependable full-time availability. Applicants should not have a regular need for half days, late arrivals, or early departures.
