Position Information
Position Title: Logistics Supervisor
Department: Logistics
Reports To: General Manager
Supervises: Staging Crew Members
Classification:*Independent Contractor (1099)
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as business needs require.
Hours: Typical start time is 9:00 AM, although earlier start times may occasionally be required. Work continues until the day's projects are completed.
Location: Stage Joy Warehouse, client properties throughout San Diego County, and company transportation vehicles.

Position Summary
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading Stage Joy's field operations by overseeing staging crews, coordinating logistics, protecting company assets, maintaining warehouse organization, and ensuring every staging project is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
This position serves as the operational leader on every project and is responsible for creating an organized, productive, and professional work environment while maintaining the highest standards of safety, customer service, and teamwork.
Stage Joy is looking for an independent thinker who can assess situations, solve problems, and make sound decisions without requiring constant direction. Leadership & Team Management
* Lead Staging Crew Members during all staging and destaging projects.
* Delegate responsibilities effectively to maximize productivity.
* Foster a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment.
* Conduct daily project briefings before work begins.
* Train, mentor, and develop new Staging Crew Members.
* Lead by example by participating in all physical aspects of the job alongside the crew.
* Maintain accountability while earning the respect of the team through professionalism, consistency, and work ethic.
* Recommend potential hiring or termination decisions to the General Manager based on observed performance.

Project Operations
* Coordinate staging and destaging projects from arrival through completion.
* Work efficiently within scheduled appointment windows.
* Conduct a final walkthrough of every completed project to ensure:
* The property is clean and presentation-ready.
* Furniture and décor have been properly installed or removed.
* Inventory has been accounted for.
* Equipment has been collected.
* No tools or materials have been left behind.
* Prepare and deliver project recap reports to appropriate stakeholders.
* Report any property damage immediately to the General Manager and ensure the incident is properly documented.

* Safely operate Stage Joy transportation vehicles, including 16-foot and 26-foot box trucks.
* Conduct daily vehicle inspections before use.
* Ensure vehicles are loaded safely and securely before departure.
* Monitor fuel levels and coordinate fueling.
* Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
* Track vehicle mileage.
* Report maintenance concerns promptly.
* Assist with safely maneuvering vehicles into residential driveways and confined spaces.

* Oversee inventory tracking using the Stage Force inventory management system.
* Ensure accurate inventory scanning during staging and destaging projects.

Customer Service
Although Designers generally lead client interactions regarding staging design, the Logistics Supervisor serves as a professional representative of Stage Joy whenever interacting with homeowners, real estate agents, vendors, or other stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
* Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor.
* Answering general questions about Stage Joy's operations.
* Providing courteous and respectful customer service.
* Escalating design, scheduling, or operational concerns to the appropriate team member or General Manager when necessary.

Safety & Risk Management
* Promote a safety-first culture during every project.
* Ensure proper lifting techniques are used by all crew members.
* Require team lifts whenever appropriate.
* Immediately document and report all injuries, accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
* Ensure all property damage involving Stage Joy inventory or client property is documented and reported immediately.
* Stop work whenever unsafe conditions exist until they can be corrected.

This position regularly requires:
* Lifting and carrying furniture weighing up to 75 pounds independently.
* Participating in team lifts exceeding 75 pounds.
* Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs throughout the workday.
* Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Performing all physical tasks expected of Staging Crew Members.
