We strive to impress our customers with the look and feel of our store. With a heavy emphasis on store presentation, our associates play an integral role in helping our pet parents find what they need right when they need it — from our healthy selection of food and treats to Farmer’s Market favorites and beautifully decorated dog cookies that look good enough for pet parents to want a bite themselves! You will also be essential in executing merchandising, stocking, and pricing. We want our Store Assistant Manager to feel valued, supported, and proud of the work they do.

Responsibilities
• Assist with the day-to-day operation, including employee management.
• Manage and schedule grooming appointments
• Drive daily and monthly sales targets across grooming services and retail products.
• Monitor and assist reordering grooming supplies and retail merchandise, tracking shrinkage and waste.
• Build work schedules that balance coverage during peak hours
• Maintain strict cleaning protocols between appointments and at the end of each day to prevent disease transmission
• Answer phones, texts, and emails
• Greet clients and their pups with a friendly smile
• Communicate grooming services and pricing
• Keep client and pet information organized
• Help keep the front desk and salon looking clean and welcoming
• Support our groomers and help keep the day running smoothly
• Comfortable using computers and scheduling software
• Process payments and handle transactions
• Calm and positive in a busy environment
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Managerial experience preferred, Retail and/or Pet Industry experience a must
• Customer service oriented
• Organized and able to multitask
• Good communicator, team player, leadership qualities
• Comfortability for all breeds and sizes of dog
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Motivated, ambitious, and organized individual
• Friendly, outgoing, professional, self-driven
