About the Position
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, provides excellent customer service, and can stay calm and organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Warmly greet guests as they arrive and create a welcoming first impression
Manage the restaurant's seating flow and accurately maintain the wait-list
Provide accurate wait-time estimates and communicate wait times to guests
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
Answer phones and assist with reservations and guest questions
Manage reservations and coordinate with servers and management
Monitor dining room cleanliness and overall appearance
Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, managers, and kitchen staff
Help maintain an organized and efficient front-of-house operation
Assist with side work and other tasks as needed
Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management when appropriate
Follow restaurant service standards and company policies
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy periods
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well as part of a team
Reliable and punctual
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Weekend and evening availability preferred
