Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the commercialization and manufacturing scale-up of a complex robotic platform. This individual will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams to bridge the gap between product development and commercial production as the organization prepares for significant growth and market expansion. This engineer will be working in a senior capacity supporting new product introductions, ensuring manufacturability and process improvement for quicker builds where possible. They will be involved with root cause analysis efforts, manufacturing readiness activities, engineering change implementation, and documentation updates while helping ensure product and process stability during a critical phase of commercialization. The ideal candidate brings a combination of strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, NPI experience, manufacturing acumen, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will have experience supporting products through development, validation, and commercialization, along with the mechanical intuition necessary to quickly assess problems, interpret engineering documentation, and drive technical solutions. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and contributing to the successful launch and scale-up of cutting-edge medical technology.

Skills and Requirements
3+ years of mechanical engineering experience supporting complex electromechanical systems, robotics or capital equipment within a highly regulated industry (ideally medical devices)
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles: ability to interpret GD&T drawings (Solidworks) tolerance stack analysis, etc.
Experience supporting process development, optimization and scale-up efforts
o Ability to provide examples of learning existing build processes, dissecting them and suggesting strategic process improvement suggestions to build faster
o Good understanding of risk management principles, supporting updates to PFMEAs, procedures and quality documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
o "Can-do" attitude with the ability to ramp quickly and work potential OT to meet business demands - Experience supporting products through the transition from development/NPI into commercial production
Six Sigma / Process Improvement backgrounds
o Experience with "Cycle Time Improvement" projects
Retrofitting experience
Experience supporting product validations, process validations or manufacturing readiness activities
Experience working with complex robotic platforms
