Position Title: Senior Director, Information Technology
The Mission
We need an innovative, hands-on Senior Director, Technology to lead our technology strategy, systems architecture, cybersecurity, and integrations. You won't just keep the lights on; you will act as a strategic business partner, modernizing enterprise systems, scaling platforms, and building automated, secure operations that fuel our future growth. We need a doer who is also strategic.
What You’ll Do
- Drive the Strategy: Assess our current tech environment, build a practical technology roadmap, and align all IT initiatives with Blue Marble's operational and financial goals.
- Own the IT Portfolio: Lead the lifecycle and optimize core applications including NetSuite ERP, Microsoft 365, and our PLM system. You’ll also own all the hardware and core IT infrastructure that runs the company and that everyone who works here relies upon.
- Architect Integration: Establish robust integration standards for ERP, CRM, warehouse systems, and key customer portals (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco) to eliminate manual data transfers and bottlenecks.
- Automate & Innovate: Manage EDI and API connections between major platforms. Implement workflow automations and practical AI technologies to boost employee productivity, streamline operations, and enhance customer service.
- Fortify Security: Build and maintain a risk-based cybersecurity program, overseeing disaster recovery, vulnerability testing, and compliance.
What You Bring
- Technical Vision: Proven ability to build scalable technology platforms from concept through implementation, with deep expertise in IT infrastructure, database architecture, and system integrations.
- Business Acumen: Experience translating business initiatives into reliable, and cost-effective system architectures.
- Execution & Velocity: High autonomy, strong project management skills, and a track record of balancing long-term scalability with near-term operational needs.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: An understanding that every choice we make supports our larger company goals. We want a proactive thinker who is focused on delivering solutions and value to our enterprise.
What It Takes
- 8+ Years of progressive technology leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Cross-Functional Fluency: Experience working across diverse departments like Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to leverage enterprise applications for maximum organizational performance.
Bonus Points (What Sets You Apart)
- Background in fast-paced environments like eCommerce, or consumer products/manufacturing.
- Domain expertise in Supply Chain, ERP integrations, and security.
