Coastal Film & Finish is a new premium automotive film and protection shop opening in Aliso Viejo, CA, directly adjacent to our established automotive business, Coastal Lifts & Auto.
We specialize in high-quality automotive customization and are looking for an experienced Lead Automotive Film Installer to help us build and lead our new film/protection division.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced installer who wants more than just another installation job. The right person will have an opportunity to help establish our installation processes, quality standards, product offerings, and eventually help build a team.
What You'll Do
Professionally install automotive window tint
Install paint protection film (PPF)
Install vinyl vehicle wraps
Perform chrome deletes and other vinyl applications
Install partial wraps, roof wraps, trim pieces and accents
Prepare vehicles for film installation, including cleaning and surface preparation
Perform paint correction/preparation as needed for PPF and ceramic coating
Maintain a clean, organized, professional installation environment
Inspect completed work for quality and correct any issues before vehicle delivery
Communicate professionally with customers when discussing installations and recommendations
Help establish efficient installation procedures and quality-control standards
Work closely with the Coastal Lifts & Auto team to identify cross-selling opportunities
Eventually assist with training and overseeing additional installers
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced professional, not someone who is just learning the trade.
Preferred experience:
2+ years of professional automotive tint, PPF, and/or vinyl installation
Strong window tint installation skills
PPF installation experience
Full and partial vehicle wrap experience
Chrome delete experience
Ability to work on a variety of vehicles, including trucks, SUVs, Jeeps, Broncos and luxury/performance vehicles
Strong attention to detail
Excellent understanding of proper surface preparation
Ability to produce clean, consistent, high-quality work
Reliable and professional
Able to work independently without constant supervision
Bonus experience:
Ceramic coatings
Paint correction
Experience with plotters and digital pattern software
Experience with XPEL, STEK, 3M, Avery Dennison, Llumar, SunTek or similar premium film products
Previous lead installer or shop-management experience

Compensation
$30–$40+ per hour equivalent depending on experience and skill level, with the opportunity for additional performance-based compensation.
Compensation structure will be discussed based on experience, skill level and production.
Location: Aliso Viejo, California
This position will be based at our new Coastal Film & Finish location in South Orange County.
