Generator Supercenter is looking for a motivated and professional In-Home Generac Generator Sales Consultant to join our growing team. Candidates with in-home consultation, home-improvement, HVAC, solar, roofing, electrical, security, or other residential sales experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Generator Supercenter is a leading Generac residential and light-commercial generator dealer in North America. We provide customers with a complete generator solution, including professional consultations, financing options, turnkey installations, maintenance, warranty service, and repairs.
We provide high-quality leads, proven sales systems, professional training, and support from an experienced office and operations team. Our certified technicians and installation crews handle the technical work, allowing our sales consultants to focus on educating customers, building relationships, and closing sales.
Primary Responsibilities
As an In-Home Sales Consultant, you will conduct scheduled appointments with potential and existing customers throughout our Southern California service area.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Traveling to scheduled residential and light-commercial sales appointments.
• Arriving on time and prepared for every appointment.
• Meeting customers face-to-face and conducting professional in-home consultations.
• Evaluating each customer’s property, generator needs, budget, and installation requirements.
• Educating customers about power-outage protection and the benefits of Generac standby generators.
• Explaining available generator models, installation packages, warranties, maintenance plans, and financing options.
• Taking accurate property photographs and videos for the installation team.
• Recording important information about the proposed generator, electrical, and fuel-system locations.
• Preparing accurate and professional quotes using the company-provided iPad.
• Presenting proposals and asking for the sale.
• Responding professionally to customer questions and concerns.
• Following up consistently with customers who have not yet made a purchasing decision.
• Maintaining communication with customers throughout the sales process.
• Keeping detailed daily notes for every lead and appointment.
• Updating customer records, appointment results, follow-up activities, and sales status in the company’s systems.
• Coordinating with office staff, installation teams, technicians, and management.
• Meeting established sales, closing, follow-up, and customer-service goals.
• Building long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
• Representing Generator Supercenter professionally in customers’ homes and communities.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must have:
• A minimum of two to three years of sales experience.
• Previous in-home consultation or field-sales experience.
• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Reliable personal transportation for traveling to all appointments.
• The ability and willingness to drive throughout a service area extending approximately 100 miles from Ontario.
• A flexible schedule based on customer appointment availability.
• A compatible smartphone capable of running RazorSync, Salesforce, and other required field-service or sales applications.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong closing, negotiation, and customer-service abilities.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for every scheduled appointment.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• The ability to work independently in the field.
• The ability to take organized photographs, videos, measurements, and appointment notes.
• Basic proficiency with mobile applications, email, electronic quotes, and customer-management systems.
• A professional appearance and respectful in-home presence.
• The motivation to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued:
• Residential generators or backup-power systems.
• In-home home-improvement sales.
• HVAC, solar, roofing, windows, electrical, plumbing, or security-system sales.
• High-value residential products or services.
• Commission-based sales.
• Financing-assisted sales.
• Field sales and territory management.
• CRM platforms, including Salesforce.
• RazorSync or similar field-service management software.
• Costco or Sam’s Club lead programs.
Generator experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right sales professional on our products, processes, and generator solutions.
Service Territory
Our office is located in Ontario, California, and our team serves customers within an approximately 100-mile radius. The territory includes:
• Orange County.
• Los Angeles County.
• San Diego County.
• Riverside County.
• San Bernardino County.
This is a field-sales position, so applicants must be comfortable driving regularly and managing appointments across a large Southern California territory.
