Becker's Fabrication, a printer focused on labels, overlays and other plastic printing, is looking for an experienced screen printer. We use both semi-automatic and fully automatic presses. We are also looking for an experienced Die Cutter.

Screen Press Operator:
Job Title: Screen Press Operator
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
Manages all routine aspects of press operation; Performs manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance and operation of printing press.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
1. *Installs prepared screen into the press and adjusts as needed to achieve pressure required for printing
2. *Adjusts press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels., jogging device, tapes, and cams as directed by press operator, using handtools
3. *Color matches and fills ink on the screen
4. Observes press operation to detect machine malfunctions and adjusts press or notifies Production Manager when malfunction occurs.
5. *Washes press and cleans ink and/or ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning mechanism on press
6. Examines printed copy for ink density, position, registration and color density or informs Production Manager of printing defects
7. *Performs duties in accordance with company safety rules
8. *Perform proper and required maintenance
9. Performs other duties as assigned
Die Cutter:
Job Title: Die Cutter
Reports to: Operations Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including the following. Other duties may be assigned).
1. Know and observe all safety rules.
2. Read and understand work order completely. Visually inspect all work order materials and specifications and report all problems to supervisor. Check material and die against order.
3. When starting new order - Check all cuts for quality before continuing to cut.
4. Communicate effectively with all appropriate personnel.
5. Check floor and equipment continuously for hazards.
6. Clean and maintain press area.
7. Separate scrap.
8. Pull completed cuts from press.
9. Retrieve and put away dies.
11. Monitor condition of dies and provide feedback when dies need to be sharpened.
12. Conduct random quality checks throughout job being cut.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
• 1-3 years experience
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and set-up press to carry out instructions. Espanol esta bien.
• Able to accurately distinguish color variation;
• Mechanical aptitude work activity requires repetitive bending, walking, climbing and occasional lifting of approximately 50 lbs.
