We receive a wide variety of used and retired technology equipment from businesses, data centers, schools, enterprises, and other organizations. Our team inspects, tests, diagnoses, grades, refurbishes, recycles, and prepares equipment for resale or proper disposition.
Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Hardware Test & Diagnostics Technician with experience testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and validating servers, GPUs, computers, laptops, tablets, networking equipment, and other electronic devices.
This is not a single-product testing position. We are looking for someone who can work across different generations and models of hardware and who is comfortable learning and testing new equipment.
• NVIDIA GPU servers, including A100 / H100 / H200 and other GPU platforms
• Dell / HP / Lenovo / Supermicro servers and rack servers
• GPUs and accelerator cards
• Workstations and desktop computers
• MacBook / Mac computers and Windows laptops
• iPads, tablets, and Chromebooks
• SSDs, HDDs, RAM / memory modules
• Networking equipment, power supplies, and other computer components
Key Responsibilities
Server & GPU Testing
• Test and diagnose enterprise servers and data center hardware.
• Perform functional testing of GPU servers and accelerator cards.
• Test NVIDIA-based GPU systems and other GPU platforms.
• Identify hardware failures and abnormal behavior.
• Check CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, networking, power supplies, fans, and other components.
• Perform system boot, BIOS/UEFI, firmware, hardware health, and functional checks.
• Run appropriate hardware diagnostics and stress tests.
• Identify failed or questionable components and document test results accurately.
Computer, Laptop & Tablet Testing
• Test MacBook / Mac computers, Windows laptops and desktops, iPads and tablets, Chromebooks, and other consumer electronics.
• Test power, display, touchscreen, keyboard, trackpad, battery health, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, camera, microphone, speakers, ports, storage, RAM, CPU/GPU, and operating system functionality.
• Check device locks, activation locks, and MDM status where applicable.
• Evaluate overall functional and cosmetic condition.
Component Testing
• Test SSDs, HDDs, RAM / memory modules, GPUs, CPUs, power supplies, and other computer/electronic components.
• Determine whether components are working, defective, repairable, suitable for resale, or suitable for recycling.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
• Troubleshoot hardware failures and isolate defective components.
• Perform basic component-level diagnostics when appropriate.
• Use diagnostic software and hardware testing tools.
• Read system logs, error codes, BIOS/UEFI information, and hardware diagnostics.
• Determine whether equipment should be Passed, Failed, Repaired, Refurbished, or Recycled.
Asset Processing & Documentation
• Record model numbers, serial numbers, specifications, and test results.
• Follow standardized testing procedures and maintain accurate testing records.
• Help develop and improve testing procedures and checklists.
• Work closely with warehouse, refurbishment, and ITAD teams.
• Maintain organized testing stations and equipment.
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting, repairing, or validating computer/electronic hardware.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware and electronic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting servers, computers, laptops, or other electronic equipment.
• Comfortable working with hardware physically — this is a hands-on position.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify hardware failures and isolate defective components.
• Ability to follow detailed testing procedures and accurately document results.
• Comfortable working with different brands, models, and generations of hardware.
• Ability to learn new hardware platforms quickly.

• PCIe devices, NVMe / SSD testing, RAM / DIMM testing.
• MacBook / Apple hardware diagnostics and iPad / tablet testing.
• Chromebook testing and networking equipment.
• Electronics repair / refurbishment, ITAD, electronics recycling, computer refurbishment, or data center decommissioning.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is not someone who has only tested one specific server or GPU model. Experience testing only NVIDIA A100 is helpful, but we are looking for someone who can apply their hardware troubleshooting knowledge to different generations and platforms, including newer GPU servers and other enterprise hardware.
We especially value candidates with broad hands-on experience across multiple categories: Servers + GPUs + PCs + MacBooks + Tablets + Storage + Memory + Networking Equipment.
You do not need experience with every model listed above. However, candidates should have strong hands-on hardware testing and troubleshooting experience and be able to learn different platforms quickly.
Physical & Work Environment
• Full-time, on-site position at our Montclair, CA facility.
• Hands-on work with servers, computers, electronics, and IT equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in a warehouse/testing environment.
• Must be comfortable handling a large volume of equipment.
Compensation
Pay: Competitive base salary + commission (pay based on experience and technical qualifications. TBD at interview)
Potential for growth based on performance and technical ability.
