Valiance Clinical Research is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Reviewer to support our clinical research team. The ideal candidate has experience reviewing medical records, resolving data queries, and assisting with adverse event and Serious Adverse Event (SAE) documentation and follow-up.
Responsibilities:
Review medical records for accuracy, completeness, and protocol-relevant information
Assist research coordinators with resolving electronic data capture (EDC) queries
Review source documents and confirm that information is consistent across study records
Help prepare and update AE and SAE documentation under the direction of the investigator and clinical research team
Collect supporting medical records, laboratory results, hospital records, and discharge summaries
Track outstanding queries and safety-reporting follow-up items
Communicate with investigators, coordinators, data-management teams, and study monitors
Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential research documentation
Follow study protocols, HIPAA requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and company procedures
Qualifications:
Experience in clinical research, medical-record review, nursing, or a related healthcare field
Familiarity with query resolution, AE/SAE documentation, and medical terminology
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to review complex medical information and identify missing or inconsistent documentation
Comfortable working with electronic medical records and clinical trial systems
Knowledge of GCP and HIPAA requirements preferred
Clinical research coordinator, medical assistant, LVN, RN, foreign medical graduate, or similar healthcare background is a plus
Must be dependable, professional, and able to meet study deadlines
