We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager and Field Support Technician to oversee enterprise hardware/software lifecycle operations and deliver hands-on deskside and field technical support across multiple regional offices. This role blends ITAM governance, software compliance, and end-user hardware troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
IT Asset Lifecycle Management: Manage IT hardware and software assets from initial procurement and provisioning through maintenance to secure decommissioning.
Software Asset Management (SAM): Track software license utilization, verify license allocation requests, prevent over-licensing, and support vendor audit readiness.
Inventory & CMDB Tracking: Maintain the Asset Management Database (AMDB/CMDB) to ensure accurate, real-time inventory visibility across remote and onsite teams.
Procurement Support: Collaborate with fiscal and procurement teams to review renewals, support purchasing, and evaluate hardware/software pricing.
Governance & Workflows: Enforce ITAM policies, asset approval protocols, and automated tracking workflows.
End-User & Field Support: Provide hands-on hardware/software support for Windows 11 desktops, laptops, and iOS/Android mobile devices.
Troubleshooting & Infrastructure: Assist field offices with system imaging, LAN connectivity troubleshooting, and local technical issues.
Ticketing & Reporting: Manage tickets and document system architectures in the service portal; generate routine reports on asset utilization, compliance risk, and refresh cycles.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Helpdesk or Field Technician support
3+ years of experience in End-User Hardware Support (laptops, desktops, peripherals, mobile devices)
3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and ITSM platforms
3+ years of experience in software deployment, patching, and maintenance
Working knowledge of Windows 11 OS, Active Directory administration, and mobile device management (MDM)
Strong customer service orientation and clear communication skills for technical and non-technical staff
Valid Drivers License and active auto insurance (required for regional field travel)
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications: CompTIA A+, ITIL v4, CSAM, CHAMP, or equivalent
Experience using Freshservice ITSM/ITAM and NinjaOne RMM
Google Workspace administration experience
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline
Work Environment & Travel
Standard 8-hour workday, 5 days per week.
Onsite base office with an average of 2 days per week of regional travel to field locations using an organization-provided fleet vehicle.
