**Position Overview:**
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Farmer's Market Sales Associates. At Island Girl Bakes, you will play a vital role in sharing our products with the San Diego community. Must be able to work weekend mornings.
**Responsibilities:**
- Thoroughly understand our product and it's ingredients to educate customers effectively.
- Cultivate and nurture customer relationships to foster loyalty and trust.
- Maintain reliability, consistency, and punctuality in all aspects of your work.
- Engage and entertain crowds of people to create a vibrant market atmosphere.
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance, particularly important as we handle food.
- Be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs to assist in market setup and breakdown.
- Be available to work on some Wednesdays and at least one weekend morning.
- Possess a reliable car to transport our coolers, tables, tent, and equipment to and from the market from our location in Encinitas.
**Qualifications:**
- Outgoing positive personality with the ability to engage and attract new customers.
- Passion for health and fitness
- Reliable and punctual and desire to be a part of the team for a minimum of a season
- Previous market sales or customer-facing experience is a plus but not required.
**Compensation:**
This is a commission-based sales role. Sales associates will receive a competitive commission on all sales generated. The more you sell, the more you earn, making this a rewarding and financially fulfilling opportunity for driven individuals who are passionate about our gluten-free offerings.
