About Our Client
I'm partnered with the CFO of a well-known, industry-leading manufacturing company that is looking to add an Accounting Manager due to an internal promotion.
In this role, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, and audit coordination. This is a hands-on leadership position that plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting business decisions through timely financial insights. You'll work closely with teams across the organization, including operations, FP&A, and treasury, while remaining actively involved in the accounting function and helping drive continued process improvements.
Job Description
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Develop monthly financial reporting packages, analyze operating results, and provide explanations for key trends and variances.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure financial data is accurate and complete.
- Coordinate annual audit activities, including managing requests, preparing supporting documentation, and serving as a key point of contact for external auditors.
- Evaluate and enhance accounting procedures, workflows, and internal control processes.
- Support core accounting areas including inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and other balance sheet and income statement activities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across finance and operations to support business initiatives and reporting needs.
- Drive process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function.
- Assist with special projects and other finance and accounting initiatives as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 1+ year of public accounting experience, along with experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting inventory accounting within a manufacturing setting
- Strong proficiency with Excel
- Experience with ERP systems
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or people management experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with stakeholders across multiple departments
- Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
