Mission Brewing is looking for an experienced brewing employee to help us in back-of-house at our Miramar small batch production facility. We are a small, tight-knit production team, so everyone is trained to fulfill all roles including brewing, cellaring, packaging, warehousing, and shipping.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Clean, wash, fill, and label kegs in accordance with SOP’s.
-Support the brewhouse and cellar through tank CIP’s, yeast & trub dumps, filtrations, dry-hopping, fining, and other brewhouse & cellar duties, as needed.
-Assist on the canning line, including pack-off, machine operation, and other duties, as needed.
-Assist warehouse in wrapping pallets, preparing shipments, and other duties, as needed.
-Assist in maintaining an orderly and clean brewery through sweeping, mopping, power-washing, scrubbing and other duties.
-Perform all duties with attention towards maintaining product quality, observing proper sanitization, and adhering to safety best practices.
Desired attributes include:
-Some experience in a production brewery
-Brewing education, or education in related field is preferred
-Knowledge of raw materials, brewing basics, and production processes preferred
-Must be a team player
-Must be passionate about beer
-Mechanical aptitude is a plus
-Must be comfortable in a fast paced production environment, and willing to adapt as challenges arise
-Willing to pitch in as needed to get things done
-Familiar with Microsoft & Google Office
-Working knowledge of all standard brewery equipment
-A great, friendly attitude

-Position requires standing for long periods of time (up 8 hours), bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
-Ability to roll full kegs up to 160 pounds onto pallets.
-Routine pushing, pulling, reaching, upper body and arm rotation, arm extension, and climbing ladders.
-Occasional high noise levels in / around cellar (ear protection provided).
-Exposure to various temperature and humidity changes.
-Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (ear plugs, gloves, boots, etc.)
