Lead Janitorial Technician / Service Lead
TZ Janitorial Building Services is growing and looking for an experienced Lead Janitorial Technician / Service Lead to join our team.
This is not an entry-level janitorial position. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example, communicates professionally, and can step in wherever needed.
What You'll Do
- Perform quality inspections at client properties
- Train and coach new janitorial employees on company systems and cleaning standards
- Communicate with management regarding staffing, inspections, and service issues
- Build positive relationships with clients while representing the company professionally
- Perform specialty services including:
- Carpet cleaning & extraction
- Floor scrubbing, stripping & waxing
- Pressure washing
- Interior & exterior window cleaning
- Post-construction cleaning
- Deep cleaning projects
- Troubleshoot issues in the field and help implement solutions
- Fill in on janitorial routes when needed
- Assist with emergency calls and special projects
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and inventory
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of commercial janitorial experience
- Floor care experience (auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, strip & wax)
- Carpet cleaning experience preferred
- Pressure washing experience preferred
- Window cleaning experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Comfortable training and mentoring employees
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work days, nights, weekends, overtime, and occasional on-call shifts
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid California Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Ability to use a smartphone for scheduling, photos, and communication
