TERMITE TREATMENT TECHNICIAN — EXPERIENCED OR WILL TRAIN

Pay: $20.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on verified licensing and relevant experience

Value Termite and Construction Inc. is an established, family-owned termite-treatment and wood-repair company serving Orange County and surrounding areas.
We are looking for either:
• An experienced, properly licensed termite treatment technician; or
• A dependable trainee who wants to obtain a California Structural Pest Control Applicator license and build a long-term career in the termite industry.
Termite-treatment experience is preferred but not required. We will provide paid training to the right person.
ABOUT THE POSITION
This position includes exterior wood-repair and job-site support duties, along with termite-treatment work after the employee obtains the required Structural Pest Control Board license.
An unlicensed employee will not be permitted to apply pesticides or perform any treatment work requiring an SPCB license. A trainee will begin with lawful support, preparation and wood-repair duties while completing the required training and licensing process.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Assist with termite-treatment preparation and job-site support
• Perform Branch 3 termite treatments after becoming properly licensed
• Complete exterior wood repairs involving fascia, trim, siding, rafter tails and eaves
• Replace damaged structural and decorative wood components
• Perform work in attics and crawlspaces
• Safely operate power tools and treatment equipment
• Safely work from extension ladders at heights of up to two stories
• Properly use required personal protective equipment
• Keep company vehicles, tools and job sites clean and organized
• Complete required job paperwork accurately
• Communicate professionally with homeowners
• Follow company safety procedures and treatment instructions
• Represent the company with integrity and professionalism
QUALIFICATIONS
• Current California SPCB Applicator or Branch 3 Field Representative license preferred, but not required
• Applicants claiming to be licensed must provide their license type and license number; all licenses will be verified
• Exterior carpentry, construction, pest-control or mechanical experience is preferred
• Willing and able to study for and obtain the required California SPCB license
• Comfortable learning to use power tools and treatment equipment safely
• Comfortable working on ladders, in attics and in crawlspaces
• Able to safely perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to lift and carry tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Valid California driver’s license
• Driving record acceptable under company vehicle-insurance requirements
• Reliable transportation to report to work
• Dependable, punctual and able to follow instructions
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Able to work independently after successfully completing training
