Casa De Onda is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our vibrant, high-volume Mexican restaurant and bar. Schedule Requirement: The General Manager is expected to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, including nights, weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct all aspects of daily operations, ensuring consistent execution of quality service, food, and cleanliness standards.
- Recruit, train, and lead staff to foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Maintain a strong floor presence, engaging with guests and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control procedures to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all health, food safety, and labor regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to uphold menu quality and presentation standards.
- Monitor financial performance, including labor costs, P&L reports, and sales growth strategies.
- Address and resolve employee or customer issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager in a full-service restaurant and bar setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of restaurant operations, food safety standards, and labor compliance.
- Proven track record of managing budgets, achieving financial targets, and developing staff.
- Must possess a valid CA Food Manager Certification.
- Must have CA Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
- Experience with TOAST POS is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
