Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for inventory accounting, cost analysis, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong inventory experience in a manufacturing environment and a solid understanding of standard costing and inventory controls.
Key Responsibilitie
- sMaintain and analyze inventory balances, reserves, and reconciliations
- .Perform monthly inventory rollforwards and account reconciliations
- .Analyze inventory variances, including purchase price, labor, and manufacturing variances
- .Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and financial analyses
- .Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory accuracy and processes
- .Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts
- .Review and maintain standard costs and support cost updates
- .Prepare reports related to inventory valuation, gross margins, and product costing
- .Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- .Support audits by providing inventory and cost accounting documentation
