Northstar Contracting Group, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Administrator to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting project operations, field personnel, and estimating staff while ensuring the successful coordination and documentation of demolition and hazardous materials remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Answer and direct incoming office calls while providing general administrative support.
• Assist with employee on boarding, including preparation of new hire packets and collection of required documentation.
• Support project teams with document control and administrative coordination.
• Prepare and organize construction project files and project binders.
• Receive and distribute company checks and related documentation.
• Maintain daily communication with the Estimating Department and Superintendents to support ongoing project operations.
• Assist with the preparation and processing of Change Orders, including supporting documentation, labor rates, invoices, and cost backup.
• Assist with coordination of equipment deliveries, rentals, and pickups for active job sites.
• Assist field personnel with scheduling dumpster exchanges and waste management services.
• Track and maintain manifests, haul tickets, weight tickets, invoices, and vendor documentation for project closeouts.
Qualifications
Required
• Experience in construction administration, project coordination, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction terminology, project documentation, and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, environmental reports, and contract documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
• Ability and willingness to travel to multiple job sites as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
Preferred
• Experience with Bluebeam and/or Procore.
• Experience drafting RFIs, change orders, proposals, and project correspondence.
• Experience coordinating with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
