Job description:
The IT Support Technician will provide front-line primary technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software, and peripherals. They are responsible for responding to, documenting, and resolving service tickets in a timely manner.
The IT Support Technician must be able to provide exceptional customer service and perform user administrative responsibilities efficiently. Ultimately, a good IT support analyst should be able to display excellent problem-solving skills and a solid knowledge of IT solutions.
This person will also be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining various company computer systems and applications. They must promote a sound and secure information technology environment that supports Dober’s business and requirements.
The main responsibilities will include
- Provide first response for inbound support calls, create tickets, prioritize issues and follow through to completion
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues both in person and via remote access tools related to installation, configuration, and function/technical support
- Assist with troubleshooting label printers and software
- Manage user on/off boarding by building/imaging systems with the required software and permissions in accordance with company policies
- Set up and manage phones, both office and mobile
- Provide support for conference room’s AV setup and support / address any issues.
- Manage building security access control and camera systems
- Assist IT Team with asset tracking/inventory, network/server monitoring, patching and backups
- Develop and document technical procedures and fixes
- Identify recurring technical issues and work with IT vendor support teams to identify and solve the root cause
- Assist IT Team with managing and deploying IT infrastructure as needed
Education
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Equivalent combination of relevant experience and training will be considered in lieu of degree
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical support role
- Experience with user account administration, on/off-boarding, and system imaging
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems
- Experience supporting AV equipment, phone systems, or building security/camera systems is a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and peripherals
- Proficiency with remote access and remote support tools
- Experience with system imaging and deployment for on/off boarding
- Familiarity with label printers and related software
- Ability to set up and manage office and mobile phone systems
- Working knowledge of AV equipment for conference rooms
- Familiarity with building security access control and camera systems
- Basic understanding of network and server monitoring, patching, and backups
- Ability to maintain accurate asset/inventory tracking
