Great opportunity to join our Information Technology team and provide technical support to employees across our Community! The work of our IT team enables the caregiving mission of Saint Elizabeth Community by assisting staff in multiple locations with routine technology issues.
Office located at Saint Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich, RI. This role supports all Saint Elizabeth Community locations and includes travel to other sites as needed.
Responsibilities For An IT Technician
- Perform all laptop and desktop setups & upgrades, transitioning users to new hardware.
- Create user accounts in active directory and populate all fields during account creation.
- Produce New User IT Documentation for all new hires within the organization.
- Assign M365 licensing to active users within Microsoft 365 admin center portal.
- Setup and configure M365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams)
- Update and maintain PC inventory for all entities.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support on all helpdesk tickets assigned to the IT Technician within ZenDesk Helpdesk Platform.
- Ability to solve tasks remotely using tools such as Go To Resolve.
- Maintain PC/Laptop inventory. Give recommendations on system upgrades.
- Generate IT-related documentation for various hardware and software applications.
- Run Windows Updates on desktops and laptops.
- Proactively update drivers on desktop & laptop systems. EX: BIOS, Video Card, Firmware, etc.
- Perform simple troubleshooting on network wall jacks and wiring within MDF and IDF's throughout all facilities.
- Assist with deployment and user management of Intermedia hosted IP Phones as well as Vertical Wave IP based phones.
- Physically setup laptops/desktops for new hires or office moves. Connect all peripheral devices using wired or wireless connections.
- Deploy desktop IP phones (Yealink or Vertical) via wired or wireless connectivity.
- Work with the IT Manager to determine any hardware needs, or replacement.
- Disposal of any retired IT hardware.
Qualifications For An IT Technician
- B.S. preferred: Focused on Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant work experience.
- 1-3 years IT related experience preferred.
- Work one on one with end-users in person or virtually.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Strong work ethic.
