We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical support in a municipal environment. This role is ideal for a strong Tier 1/Tier 2 IT generalist who can independently troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues while supporting desktops, Microsoft 365, networking, servers, business applications, and light AV technologies.
The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of hands-on IT support experience and be comfortable owning daily support operations, coordinating with vendors, and escalating complex issues when needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of IT support experience in a Tier 2 environment
- Provide Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Strong desktop and end-user support background
- Experience troubleshooting Windows-based environments
- Hands-on experience supporting PCs, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and printers
- Support Microsoft 365 administration including: User account creation, modification, and removal, Password resets and account troubleshooting, Email support, Assistance with Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, etc.
- Ability to perform basic server troubleshooting and navigation
- Perform first-level network troubleshooting including: Switches, Wireless access points (WAPs)
- Firewalls, Connectivity issues, Basic LAN/WAN troubleshooting
- Understanding of MFA, endpoint security, and cybersecurity best practices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
