Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $19.00 to $21.50/hr DOE + shift
Multiple Schedules Available:
1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Swing Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM + 5% shift differential (training on 1st shift for a couple of weeks)
Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM + 7% shift differential (training on 1st shift for a couple of weeks)
4th Shift/ Weekend: Friday – Sunday, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM + 7% shift differential (training on 1st shift for a couple of weeks)
Position Summary
A leading medical device manufacturer in Irvine is seeking an **Assembler I** to join their production team. This role is responsible for electro-mechanical assembly, cleanroom assembly, and product packaging. We are looking for dependable individuals with strong hand assembly skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Perform electro-mechanical assembly and packaging of medical devices.
* Assemble products using hand tools while following detailed work instructions.
* Read and interpret manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and inspection documents.
* Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, ISO 13485 standards, and company procedures.
* Inspect work to ensure quality and accuracy.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
* Learn new equipment and manufacturing processes as needed.
Qualifications
* 2+ years of medical device assembly experience preferred.
* Experience working in an FDA, GMP, or ISO-regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
* Strong manual dexterity and hand assembly skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to read and understand written work instructions in English.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Reliable, dependable, and able to work well in a team environment.
Work Environment
* Cleanroom, laboratory, and warehouse environment.
* Standing and sitting throughout the shift.
* Frequent use of hands for detailed assembly work.
* Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
* Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
