Journeyman Electrician – Facility Services | San Diego, CA
Intersection Facility Services is a growing commercial facility services company based in San Diego. We're looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team — someone who's solid in the field, open to wearing a few different hats, and interested in growing with us long-term.
What You'll Do
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across a variety of commercial and light industrial environments
• Perform panel work including breaker replacement, load balancing, and panel upgrades
• Handle lighting retrofits, fixture installations, and controls (occupancy sensors, dimmers, timers)
• Respond to service calls and diagnose electrical issues efficiently with minimal supervision
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications
• Assist with tenant improvement (TI) projects from rough-in through finish
• Support low voltage work as needed (data, fire alarm, access control coordination)
• Assist with job estimates — reviewing scope, materials, and labor needs
• Collaborate across divisions as needed (maintenance, small projects, recurring services)
• Ensure all work meets NEC code requirements and passes inspection
• Maintain a clean, safe jobsite and follow all safety protocols
What We're Looking For
• Journeyman-level electrical experience (commercial preferred)
• Solid understanding of the NEC and California electrical codes
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Experience with both service/repair work and new installation
• CA General Electrician card a plus, but not required
• Comfortable assisting with estimating — reading scopes, pulling numbers together
• Flexible and team-oriented — willing to support other divisions when needed
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
What We Offer
• Full-time, salaried position — $72,000 to $75,000 annually, DOE
• 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance
• Paid vacation
• 401(k) retirement plan
• On-the-job training and clear advancement opportunities
