Jeffrey Trott Industries, Inc. is an established high-end architectural millwork company with over 40 years in business, serving high-end luxury retail, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, tenant improvement, and specialty construction markets throughout California and the United States. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Architectural Millwork Installer to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
The Architectural Millwork Installer plays a critical role in the successful delivery and installation of custom architectural millwork projects. This position is responsible for loading and unloading materials, assembling and installing millwork in accordance with project specifications, communicating job progress to management, and ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction throughout the installation process.
The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, advanced finish carpentry skills, experience interpreting blueprints and shop drawings, and the flexibility to travel and work extended hours when required.
Example of Duties:
Installation & Product Handling. including loading, securing, transporting, unloading, and staging of millwork materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Assemble and install custom architectural millwork in accordance with shop drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
Install cabinetry, casework, wall paneling, countertops, reception desks, ceilings, trim, molding, and various other “creative" custom architectural woodwork.
Handle and move millwork products with care to minimize damage during transportation and installation.
Verify site conditions and make field adjustments while maintaining design intent and quality standards. Perform punch-list and final completion work as required.
Project Coordination & Communication:
Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, Owners, Contractors, and Clients regarding project progress and potential issues.
Conduct installation inspections with contractors and customers to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Assist with on-site project coordination and problem-solving. Complete all required site safety protocols and project documentation/site pictures accurately and promptly using the company-issued iPad.
Safety & Quality:
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Maintain a clean, organized,
professional job site at all times.
Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project specifications.
Communicate daily/regularly with supervisors & owners regarding the job site to identify and quickly resolve installation issues using sound judgment and critical thinking.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, equivalent military service, or comparable practical / work experience.
Experience in architectural millwork installation, finish carpentry, cabinetry, or commercial
construction.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate construction tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, schematics, and construction drawings) documents.
Knowledge of wood species, millwork materials, construction methods, and installation techniques.
Proficiency using iPads, mobile devices, and basic computer applications. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Trade school certification or related vocational training is a plus.
OSHA 10 and 30 certifications are highly desirable.
Requirements:
First & foremost, you must own a truck & tools (basic hand & power tools required for architectural millwork installation).
Reliable truck and a clean, valid driver's license & insurance.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to pass a pre-hiring background & drug test, I-9, physical, hearing, & vision test.
Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and varying schedules based on project demands.
Ability to travel throughout California, the nation & worldwide, including air travel and extended lodging stays if required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires frequent physical activity in active construction environments. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds comfortably. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling. Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and elevated work platforms. Ability to maintain balance while working in varying job-site conditions. Ability to use hands and arms for handling tools, equipment, and materials. Ability to move small and large-scale millwork components, tools, machinery, and construction materials safely.
Compensation & Benefits
$30.00- $40.00 hourly; compensation is based on experience and qualifications.

7 Annual paid holidays, 1 week vacation, and 1 week of sick time per year, for your first 24 months. Thereafter, you get 2 weeks of paid vacation & 1 week of sick time after your 3-year anniversary.

Night shift installation - pay differential (+15% per Hour)
