About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to own and execute content across Velour Beauty’s social platforms. This role goes beyond posting—you’ll be hands-on in content creation, UGC strategy, community engagement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive both brand awareness and performance.
You will also serve as a key face of the brand, regularly appearing in content and helping bring Velour Beauty’s voice and personality to life across social platforms.
What You’ll Do
Content Creation, Social Management & Community Engagement
- Own day-to-day management of Velour Beauty’s social channels (TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms)
- Concept, create, and publish high-performing content (short-form video, photo, and trend-informed content)
- Build and manage the social content calendar, aligned with launches, campaigns, and key brand moments
- Stay on top of trends, audio, and platform updates—bringing fresh, relevant ideas to the brand
- Write engaging captions that reflect brand voice and drive engagement
- Actively monitor and respond to all comments and DMs in a timely manner to foster community engagement and brand loyalty
- Research best practices for social media and continuously explore new ways to engage audiences, including identifying emerging platforms and opportunities to reach target customers
Retailer Content Support
- Create retailer-specific social content to support key partners (e.g., Sephora)
- Adapt content to align with retailer campaigns, promotions, and priorities
- Collaborate with retail and marketing teams to ensure strong brand presence across retailer channels
- Support product launches and key retail moments with tailored, platform-native content
UGC Creator Program
- Manage and scale Velour’s UGC creator program within a set monthly budget
- Source, onboard, and brief creators to deliver consistent, high-quality content
- Maintain strong relationships with creators and build a reliable content pipeline
- Review, provide feedback, and optimize content for both organic and paid use
Paid Ads Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Ads team to develop and deliver high-converting creative
- Source and brief UGC creators specifically for paid media needs
- Continuously test new hooks, formats, and messaging to improve performance
- Ensure a steady flow of new creative assets for ad testing and scaling
Content Capture & Production
- Capture behind-the-scenes and campaign content at photoshoots, events, and brand activations
- Travel as needed to support key brand moments
- Assist with on-set content direction to ensure social-first deliverables
TikTok & Community Engagement
- Host TikTok Lives at least 1x per week to engage the audience and drive conversion
- Identify and engage with brand fans, creators, and viral moments in real time
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyze social performance (engagement, growth, conversions, etc.)
- Report on social performance on a weekly and monthly basis, providing clear insights and recommendations
- Use data to optimize content strategy, posting cadence, and creative direction
Campaign & Launch Support
- Support product launches and marketing campaigns with social-first content and storytelling
- Collaborate with Influencer, PR, and Retail teams to amplify key moments
- Ensure social content aligns with broader brand and marketing initiatives
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in social media, content creation, or a similar role (beauty experience is a plus)
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and short-form video content
- Experience managing UGC creators or influencer programs
- Comfortable being on camera and confident representing the brand
- Strong eye for trends, storytelling, and what drives engagement + conversion
- Ability to film and edit content efficiently, delivering high-quality assets in a timely manner
- Experience working cross-functionally with paid media or marketing teams
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Willingness to travel for events, shoots, and brand activations
