Newport Thin Film Laboratory (NTFL) is a precision optical coating manufacturer located in Chino, CA. We produce high-performance optical components for the aerospace, defense, medical, research, and commercial industries.
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our production team. Experience in optics cleaning is a plus, but we are also willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic and experience in a manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Clean precision optical components using approved cleaning methods.
- Perform light polishing of optical components to meet quality requirements.
- Prepare tooling and fixtures for optical coating processes.
- Clean, inspect, and maintain tooling and fixtures.
- Perform light bead blasting to clean and maintain tooling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all quality standards, safety procedures, and manufacturing processes.
- Follow detailed job travelers and process instructions.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections of optical components to customer specifications.
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming customer products.
- Assist with general production support and housekeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Optics cleaning experience is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and procedures.
- Ability to work with small precision components using care and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
