JLorraine Designs is a rapidly growing women’s fashion brand specializing in luxury statement pieces. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and solutions-driven Fashion Operations & Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fashion house, production workflow, fulfillment team, and e-commerce operations.
This role is designed for a strong operator who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership, builds systems, solves problems before they happen, and helps scale a business.
The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, exceptional communicator, process builder, and natural leader while ensuring every department operates efficiently and profitably.
Position Overview
The Fashion Operations & Production Team Lead will oversee all operational functions including production, manufacturing coordination, inventory management, fulfillment, team management, SOP development, process improvement, quality control, vendor management, and operational reporting.
This individual will be responsible for creating structure, improving efficiency, reducing operational costs, identifying bottlenecks, and building scalable systems that support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of the fashion house and production facility
- Ensure all departments operate efficiently and meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals
- Monitor workflow and team productivity
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions
- Create systems that improve efficiency and scalability
- Oversee inventory movement, production scheduling,
- Maintain organization across all operational departments
Production & Manufacturing
- Manage production calendars and production schedules
- Create, update, and maintain production sheets
- Coordinate with domestic and overseas manufacturers
- Monitor manufacturing timelines and delivery schedules
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout production
- Track raw materials, fabrics, trims, and production inventory
- Resolve production delays and manufacturing issues proactively
- Improve production efficiency and reduce waste
SOP Development & Process Improvement
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Document workflows across all departments
- Train staff on operational procedures and company standards
- Continuously improve systems and processes
- Build scalable frameworks that support business growth
- Create accountability systems and performance tracking
Team Leadership & Management
- Onboard, train, and manage contractors
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching
- Foster a positive, productive, and professional work environment
- Ensure team members understand expectations and deadlines
- Step into operational tasks when necessary to support the team
E-Commerce & Shopify Operations
- Oversee Shopify store operations
- Monitor inventory accuracy between Shopify and internal systems
- Coordinate product launches and inventory readiness
- Analyze order flow and fulfillment performance
- Improve customer experience through operational excellence
- Work closely with marketing, fulfillment, and customer service teams
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Track and analyze key operational metrics
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports
- Monitor labor costs, production costs, inventory levels, and efficiency metrics
- Identify trends, opportunities, and operational risks
- Provide recommendations to increase profitability
- Present actionable solutions backed by data
Executive Support & Communication
- Serve as the CEO’s operational right hand
- Communicate critical updates, issues, risks, and opportunities proactively
- Maintain transparency regarding all operational activities
- Provide daily reports and department updates
- Escalate concerns before they become major problems
- Help leadership make informed business decisions
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of operations management experience
- 3+ years within fashion, apparel, manufacturing, or production environments
- Experience managing production schedules and manufacturing partners
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems
- Shopify and e-commerce operations experience
- Experience building SOPs and operational systems
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Advanced proficiency in Canva, Excel, Google Sheets, , or similar systems
- Must Be Bilingual
Preferred
- Supply chain management experience
- Experience managing in-house teams
- Knowledge of apparel manufacturing and garment construction
